In The United States
One in three women in the United States are physically abused by a partner at some point in their lives
Approximately 1.3 million women are physically abused each year in the United States.
In Texas
On September 13, 2018, 4,560 domestic violence victims found refuge in emergency shelters or transitional housing provided by local domestic violence programs. On that one day, victims made 589 requests for emergency housing that were not met.
In 2018, 174 women were killed by a male intimate partner
In Erath County
In 2018, 160 women who sought help to get out of a situation of violence.
In 2017, one woman as killed by her partner.
