1 Corinthians 3:12-15

Revelation 21:1-8

Thank you, Jesus, for going to prepare a place for me that will exceed my wildest imagination. I choose to set my mind on things above, not on earthly things, where You are, seated at the right hand of the Father. I pray that this focus will change the way I live life today. Let it transform my work and my play, and how I spend my time and my money.
Lord, free my heart from grasping and plotting and fretting over my life. Knowing that the keys of life and death are in your hands, I ask you to free me from trying to arrange my life as I see fit.
I renounce my allegiance to this visible and fleeting world and pledge my allegiance to You, King of Heaven. From this day forward, I will live as a citizen of heaven, my true home. As Your faithful steward, I will take every gift, opportunity and resource that You place in my hands and multiply it greatly for Your Kingdom.
With Your people, Lord, I stand right here, right now and proclaim that I am “longing for a better country.” I know the life I prize is coming. And I eagerly look forward to the day when I will see You face-to-face and behold Your glory forever and ever. AMEN
